About Sarah

Personal Trainer, Sarah Riedl

I’m Sarah Riedl, and I started my career as a personal trainer at a big health club. I quickly realized that for a big-box gym, personal training was anything but personal. It was all about sales—I always had a quota to hit, and more emphasis was placed on getting new clients than on helping current clients reach their goals. I was faced with the problem of quantity over quality, and I wasn’t able to offer much in terms of support outside of the gym.

Overall, it was a very ineffective way to see clients reach their goals. I would meet people with all types of lifestyles, experiences, and personalities, from women who wanted to lose 80 pounds, to men who wanted to be able to touch their toes, to people who wanted to run a marathon or triathlon for the first time. How could a cookie-cutter workout possibly work for all of them? I needed the freedom to be able to offer individual fitness programs, tailored to specific individual goals, with as much or as little support as each person needed. That’s why I started Real Fitness Solutions.
